I was at the game, and we had very nice seats (see pic above). Club Level - Center Ice right behind the cameramen. The face value on the ticket was $140 and we paid about third of that. My wife sported her new #9 PAYTON Wild 3rd jersey (which I’m not a fan of).
- The obvious point is, “well, at least we don’t have to play Minnesota again this season”. As my wife happily points out, the Avs went 1-3-2 against the Wild this season.
- Josh Harding played his best game all season long. He had just a fantastic shoulder save in the 2nd on a really nice Chris Stewart shot.
- The Avs had a few chances where the probably should have scored. Scott “brand new papa” Hannan HAS to put the puck on net on his super golden chance. Besides the Stewart chance mentioned above, every other great chance went to Wolski, who is now officially ice cold.
- You can blame me for the Wild’s goal. Owen Nolan got kicked out of the faceoff. Kyle Brodziak moved to take the draw and I said “You suck, Brodziak”. Half a minute later, Liles left the his side of the ice open at their the blueline and Brodziak made the best offense play as I’ve seen him make all season. Game, Minnesota Wild.
- Andy was great again - stopped everything he had a chance to stop.
- If you’ve seen a game at Pepsi Center, you probably noticed the “Defensive Player of the Month” video that runs during breaks. They are using that horrible / illegal Koci hit on Mike Green as part of that package. Not cool.
Next game: Right back at it Friday night in Dallas at 6PM MST.
