The Avs lost their another exhibition game - they lost 3 of 3 exhibition games, losing two of those games in OT. The Avs were missing Duchene and Mueller. The Hawks couldn’t beat Detroit to get the Avs, so Colorado will face San Jose in the first round of the 2010 Playoffs.
- Another blown lead - you can feel that 2 goal lead disappearing in Game 3 right now.
- Ryan Stoa had a great 1st period. Unfortunately, not much after that. But same goes for the rest of the team.
- Ryan O’Reilly was the Avs best player - really good defensively and he did a good job, especially in the 1st, of being more offensively minded. That was probably more an effect of him playing with better talent than anything else.
- We will need more out of Yip and Stewart against the Sharks.
- The rest seemed to help Andy - both goals he had no chance on.
- I really felt bad for the Avs - no one stuck around to see the “jersey off our backs” presentation. I guess everyone had to get their share of the free bags of popcorn they were handing out outside the Pepsi Center.
- 3 goals in the last 2 games - two of those goals (both from Stoa) were plenty soft.
- Look for the last 20 games review and series preview, both coming prior to the start of the series.
