Sorry for no updates after the last couple of disappointing games. A little bit of a busy holiday and a little bit of laziness. Anyway - after a home and home with last place in the Western Conference Minnesota Wild, the Avs only came away with 1 of 4 points . The bottom line is that the Wild badly outplayed the Avs in 3rd period in the Friday’s game and periods 2 and 3 in Saturday’s game. But worse than that, they lost David Jones for the season with a torn ACL. Oh, and Tom Preissing was waived and sent to Lake Erie. (Shocking, I know.)
The Avs face off with the Lightning in Tampa tonight - expect this blog to return to normal…
