Avs Lose to Preds in OT, 4-3

Continuing their quest to prove that a 2 goal lead really is the worst lead in hockey, the Avalanche overcame Tom Preissing AND the new third jersey's curses and eeked out a point at home against the Preds.
  • Nice to see Colorado actually play a solid 3rd period.  It had been a while.
  • A bit of a soft goal allowed by Andy on the OT winner; yes, it was a scrambley play, but Andy seemed to be square to Legwand and let it leek through  - that’s something we just don't see. Thank goodness it happened in OT and not in the 3rd.
  • Hejduk and Stewart played fantastic games.
  • Wolski hasn’t scored a goal in 6 games - but he does have assists in 4 of those games.
  • I don’t know how I feel about Svatos - he scores a big goal, he takes a dumb penalty and Nashville scores the game tying goal.  Even when he plays well, he finds a way to neutralize it.
  • Quincey was strong in his own zone, I just wish he could hit the net on the PP.
  • McLeod was invisible.
  • I'm tired of beating the dead horse - I'm not going to talk about Koci anymore.
  • Hensick was placed on waivers.  We’ve seen this coming for some time -- I wonder if the Avs waited until the night before the (American) Thanksgiving holiday to do this, in hopes he slipped through the radar - at least as much as possible.  As of 7:15 MST Thanksgiving morning, it doesn’t look like anyone has taken him.  He'll go to Lake Erie if things stay that way.
  • Detroit was shutout in Nashville last night, 0-2!
