The Caps play the kind of game the Avs want to play. They are fast and very skilled. Their superstar players have experience and confidence. And they can probably beat anyone in the NHL when they are motivated and totally on their game.
- Horrific game for John Michael Liles. He was run over in the corner, directly leading to the first Caps goal, he was pressured into an awful turnover in his own zone, directly leaded to the 4th Caps goal and he left the game early, presumably with an injury.
- Whenever you see the Avs make drop passes to no one, you know they are way off their game.
- One of the few bright spots was McLeod. He built on a good game against Calgary and had an even better game, looking much more like the pre-eye injury Cody. Galiardi also had a nice game. (And that’s about it.)
- The Koci hit on Mike Green was awful and I was ashamed he was wearing an Avalanche jersey while doing it. He should get a suspension for it, so Sacco will need to figure a way to eat up that 2:00 minutes Koci got a night. (It's going to be rough Joe, I know...)
Next game: Home against Columbus on Saturday night. Hopefully the rest helps...
