This was a disappointing game. If you have DirecTV and missed this one because it was on VS, consider yourself lucky. The Avs are now 0-2-2 in 4 games with Minnesota.
- It was a boring game. The Avs had no energy and the Wild had barely had any energy. No hitting, no emotion, no goals.
- My wife and I took her uncle to his first NHL game and honestly, I’m surprised he didn’t fall asleep during the game.
- The Avs went 0 for 6 on the PP. In a 1-0 game. Nuff said.
- The passing was really bad. Nothing seemed to be tape to tape, rare passes that somehow were on target were fumbled, there were drop passes that were overskated; it wasn’t pretty.
- Really surprised that McLeod, Hendricks or Stewart didn’t try to go with a Wild player at some point. Both benches really needed some energy.
- Justin Mercier played in his first NHL game wearing #43.
